A empresa Cimentos de Moçambique (CM) anunciou um plano de investimentos de 60 milhões de dólares norte-americanos para modernizar e aumentar a capacidade de produção da sua fábrica localizada no município do Dondo, província de Sofala.
A modernização, que se insere nos 100 anos da empresa, que este ano se comemora, inclui a instalação de um forno de clínquer, além de um novo moinho vertical de cimento com capacidade de 80 toneladas por hora e uma nova ensacadora de cimento com capacidade de 120 toneladas por hora.
A capacidade de produção da fábrica do Dondo atingirá 1,3 milhões de toneladas de cimento por ano, prevendo-se a geração de 200 novos empregos directos para os jovens da região.
Outro importante investimento da CM está prestes a ser concluído: a modernização e ampliação da fábrica de Nacala, que inclui também a instalação de um forno de clínquer, cujas obras começaram no final de 2023 e estarão concluídas até Outubro.
“Os investimentos em Nacala e Dondo são a materialização da nossa confiança e compromisso com o desenvolvimento de Moçambique”, afirmou o CEO da CM, Fernando Barreto.
