A Saipem recebeu três novos contratos (um onshore e dois offshore) pelo New Gas Consortium composto por duas subsidiárias integrais da Azule Energy (Eni Angola Exploration B.V. e BP Exploration (Angola ) Limited), Sonangol P&P, Chevron, TotalEnergies, para as atividades de Engenharia, Aprovisionamento e Construção (EPC) relevantes para o projeto de desenvolvimento dos campos Quiluma e Maboqueiro ao largo da costa noroeste de Angola.

Com um valor global de cerca de 900 milhões de dólares, a Saipem está cuidando da engenharia, aquisição e construção, incluindo assistência de conexão e comissionamento, da plataforma Quiluma e da planta de processamento de gás natural onshore relevante. Isso confirma a confiança dos clientes na Saipem para a execução de projetos complexos em termos de tecnologia e logística, realizados de acordo com o conteúdo local e com os mais altos padrões de sustentabilidade ambiental. Em particular, este é o primeiro projeto realizado em Angola relevante para um campo de “Gás Não Associado”.

A participação nas referidas iniciativas de desenvolvimento na “Bacia do Baixo Congo”, que irá dotar a fábrica de Angola LNG com volumes adicionais de gás tanto para o mercado internacional como para o mercado doméstico, consolida o posicionamento estratégico da Saipem na África Ocidental e em Angola, onde a empresa tem vindo a trabalhar por mais de 40 anos.
