GTT, especialista em tecnologia em sistemas de contenção por membranas para transporte e armazenamento de gases liquefeitos, ganhou um contrato de serviço com a Coral FLNG para a barcaça Coral Sul FLNG da Eni.

A Eni é a operadora delegada do projeto Coral Sul FLNG em nome dos parceiros da Área 4. A FLNG está localizada ao largo da costa de Moçambique e representa um grande avanço para a indústria do gás natural liquefeito (GNL) em África, com uma capacidade de produção de 3,4 milhões de toneladas de GNL por ano. Com capacidade de armazenamento de 238.700 m3 e equipado com o sistema de contenção por membrana Mark III desenvolvido pela GTT, este FLNG entregou a sua primeira carga de GNL em novembro de 2022.

Pelo acordo, o GTT prestará serviços de suporte técnico para garantir a operação e manutenção eficiente dos tanques de armazenamento de GNL a bordo do Coral Sul FLNG. Esses serviços incluem assistência técnica presencial e remota, testes in loco, inspeção, atendimento emergencial, serviços de engenharia e programas de treinamento especializados.

O principal objetivo do apoio do GTT é garantir a continuidade da operação do FLNG, mantendo o nível adequado de segurança ao longo do ciclo de vida do projeto.

Jean-Baptiste Choimet, CEO da GTT, disse: “Estamos orgulhosos de acompanhar a Eni no projeto Coral Sul FLNG, que contribui para o desenvolvimento da indústria de GNL em África.
