O poço DHBSM-1 foi perfurado a partir da plataforma de produção MaBoMo até uma profundidade total de 6.002 metros. A área alvo está localizada a aproximadamente 5 km a sudoeste do MaBoMo e foi perfurada pela plataforma de jack-up Borr Norve.
