A BW Energy tem o prazer de anunciar que o poço de avaliação DHBSM-1 encontrou volumes comerciais de petróleo no prospeto de satélite Hibiscus Sul. A empresa planeja retornar ao poço para concluí-lo como poço de produção no início de 2024.
O poço DHBSM-1 foi perfurado a partir da plataforma de produção MaBoMo até uma profundidade total de 6.002 metros. A área alvo está localizada a aproximadamente 5 km a sudoeste do MaBoMo e foi perfurada pela plataforma de jack-up Borr Norve. Evaluation of logging data, sample examination and formation pressure measurements confirm approximately 20 meters of pay in an overall hydrocarbon column of 26.5 meters in the Gamba formation.
Os dados do poço confirmam que a estrutura do Hibiscus Sul é um acúmulo separado com um contato óleo-água mais profundo do que o Campo de Hibiscus próximo. Isso permitirá que a Empresa reserve reservas adicionais não incluídas atualmente em sua declaração anual de reservas e fornecerá a oportunidade de perfurar um ou mais poços de produção adicionais da instalação MaBoMo.
“A avaliação bem-sucedida da estrutura de satélites Hibiscus Sul representa uma expansão de baixo custo e baixo risco da base de produção e reserva de Dussafu. Estamos ansiosos para trazer rapidamente esses barris de alto valor para a produção”, disse Carl K. Arnet, CEO da BW Energy. “O resultado também confirma o potencial significativo da licença Dussafu, onde temos várias perspectivas futuras adicionais.”
A avaliação preliminar indica reservas brutas recuperáveis de 6 a 7 milhões de barris de petróleo e aproximadamente 16 milhões de barris de petróleo em vigor, em linha com as expectativas pré-perfuração de caso médio relatadas antes do início das operações de perfuração.
