A QatarEnergy, em consórcio com a TotalEnergies e a Petronas, conquistou o Contrato de Partilha de Produção (PSC) Água-Marinha, no âmbito do 1º Ciclo de Oferta Permanente, pela Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural do Brasil, e Biocombustíveis (ANP). Nos termos do PSC e acordos associados, a QatarEnergy terá uma participação de 20%, ao lado da operadora Petrobras (30%), TotalEnergies (30%) e Petronas Petroleo Brasil Ltda. (20%).
O bloco Água-Marinha tem uma área total de 1.300 km2 e está localizado em lâmina d’água de cerca de 2.000 metros na costa do Rio de Janeiro, na prolífica Bacia de Campos.
Comentando nesta ocasião, Sua Excelência o Sr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, o Ministro de Estado para Assuntos de Energia, o Presidente e CEO da QatarEnergy disse: “Temos o prazer de alcançar esta última licitação conjunta bem-sucedida, que adiciona mais áreas altamente prospectivas ao nosso portfólio upstream no Brasil, e particularmente na prolífica Bacia de Campos.”
Sua Excelência o Ministro Al-Kaabi acrescentou: “Estamos muito satisfeitos por alcançar este sucesso com nossos valiosos parceiros Petrobras, TotalEnergies e Petronas. Aproveito esta oportunidade para agradecer à ANP e às autoridades brasileiras por esta oportunidade e por seu apoio contínuo.”
A aquisição, que deve ser concluída no primeiro semestre de 2023, estabelece ainda mais a QatarEnergy como uma das principais empresas de upstream no Brasil, onde já detém participações em dois campos produtores e vários blocos de exploração.
